Features: Originally the home of the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Naval Air Service Airfield. Several of the original hangars are still in place supporting Fleet Air Arm and Marine engineering training. Two of the Lord Palmerston commissioned forts constructed around 1860 are located within the site. The Main Wardroom building of 1926 is supplemented with more modern accommodation wings and contains some fine rooms such as the Britannia Room complete with many paintings and Royal Yacht memorabilia.
