Halton House, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP22 5PG
Features: Located within one hour of  London and less than 40 minutes from the main film studios in Hertfordshire, just off the A41; 5 miles south of Aylesbury. The house, in the style of a French chateau, is secluded behind a large bank of trees and is therefore not seen from public roads. It is Grade 2* listed and the front of the house retains the French chateau appearance with a carriage drive and porch. The north front has a similar appearance with a patio area and steps leading to a gravel drive and the garden. There are extensive wooded grounds, with a fountain and other water features. The house is an Officers' Mess so filming can be restricted depending on occupancy. The salon is sufficiently large to serve as a hotel foyer, meeting room, dining room or ballroom and the drawing rooms have been used as meeting rooms, offices, restaurant or bedrooms. The immediate grounds are large enough for a major unit-base during the summer months and hard standing is available elsewhere on the station at other times. Industrial kitchens are available in a seperate building from the house.

Within an hour of London: Yes

NB: Because of the historical importance of Halton House, any internal filming activity requires the production company to have £26 million insurance cover.
