Features: A former WW2 fighter base with three active runways, the main runway being a mile in length. The airfield has a backdrop of sand dunes and a large coniferous forest. The technical site is rather small, but includes a modern small hangar, small Squadron buildings, modern Officers' Mess and a small gym. RAF Woodvale is approximately 20 minutes from Liverpool.
